The Mothers Union is a worldwide fellowship which aims are to promote conditions in society favourable to stable family life and the protection of children, it also monitors legislation and social policies, seeking to get its voice heard in the public debate on marriage and family life, amongst its many concerns is the level of international debt. Flamborough has a very active membership which meets at 2.30pm every last Thursday in the month in St Oswald's Church Hall, which is situated opposite the church in Church Lane, there is ample car parking space alongside the vicarage next to the church hall. The Meetings enjoy a very varied programme through visiting speakers on many interesting and often humorous subjects, also outings to interesting places. The Branch has a Mums and Tots Group, which is well supported. Prison Visitors Group, members take it in turns to carry out this service, which takes care of the children of offenders during visiting times. Meals on Wheels, the MU members are the backbone of the service in Flamborough.
